Purpose: Bundle messages for downloading/reading offline
Available at: Message and Upload area subboard prompts
The Yank command allows to you pack new messages into a file to download, and is CNet's alternative to many other BBS's "QWK" mailer Door. The Yank command operates in the BACKGROUND, allowing you to utilize other areas of the BBS while it packs your messages. When Yank has finished, a message will appear on your screen notifying you of its completion.
Before beginning, Yank will ask you if you wish to use keywords; this allows you to selectively pick the messages the Yank will pack. After that, it will ask if you wish to use "QWK" message bundling. In order to use the QWK feature, you must already have selected a compression method (also called "Message Bundling") in your system preferences. To do so, select EP (edit prefs) and change item number 11 to your preferred compression type.
A global variation of Yank is available (YA) to perform the Yank on ALL subboards that you are a member of.
